Lori and I send our greetings from Wendell. We truly thank everyone for their continued thoughts, prayers and support. It really means a lot to us at this time. Lori continues to do well. She will get through her bone marrow transplant.
The first quarter of this fraternal year is gone? Where has it gone? Did you get everything done that you wanted to do? I know I didn’t. Now I have to work extra hard to catch up. The good news is that I did do many of the things I set out to do.
Now is a great time for you and your Council to look at what you have done and determine what need to be done. Here are a few things to look at:
Are you among those that have signed up to attend one of the Mid-Year meetings? Information is on the State website.
How did your meeting with your pastor go? What Council programs are you working on to help your pastor?
Are you one of the Councils that is working hard to included everyone in your parish in your programs?
Have you asked members of your parish to join you on your programs? They can be a big help.
Are you one of the five Councils that have already reached or surpassed the quota for this fraternal year? Are your programs attracting new members for you?
I am very confident that every Council is doing some great programs. Did you submit your best program in each of your Program areas? The submission form is on the State website.
Did you sit down with your District Deputy and help him complete your Matrix form?
What are you doing to make sure there is a KofC presence in every Catholic community? Check out the Round Table program for help.
Over 60% of our Councils have already paid their NC State Per Capita and Insurance invoices that were mailed in late August. That is great!
What can you do to help members of your Council and parish grow in their Faith?
Your actions are being observed. Live your Faith as Christ taught us.
