A “Win-Win”
I have sent out a few notes recently about going to “GreatNonprofits” and posting a review of LAMB. A few weeks ago Wallace Council 12910 submitted an article about their recent golf tournament as a review. Below is an abbreviated version, for the complete story and to see other reviews go to www.greatnonprofits.com and search for the LAMB Foundation. BTW, you will also see a donate button on the LAMB page. Last month alone LAMB received $275 in donations from across the country - the more reviews we get the better our visibility, so post a review of your own while there!
The LAMB Foundation of NC returns to Wallace
On Friday, September 9, 2016, eighty golfers descended upon the River Landing Golf Club to participate in L.A.M.B.‘s 7th Annual Bill Lord Memorial Golf Tournament. This event, organized by the late Bill Lord, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12921, raises funding for the Duplin County Schools Exceptional Children’s Program. "The school system is fully behind this fund raiser", said Cary Powers, Director of the Exceptional Children's Program. "This is the best turnout ever and we are pleased that we had some generous corporate sponsors. We, at DCS are committed to this event and I believe next year will be even better." Hugh Booz, Deputy Grand Knight of Council 12921 and Tournament Chairman added, "I am grateful for my fellow Knights and their wives who worked tirelessly to arrange all the pieces of this event. Dedicated people behind the scenes always make for a successful event." Hugh Booz continued: “We are very excited with the response and participation, this year’s tournament having raised over $9,700. Given this success, we look forward to next year’s Bill Lord Memorial Golf Tournament scheduled for September, 15th, 2017”.
